Same-day shipping is the default at Firewood Flex. We can do it because the wood is kiln-dried, packed, and palletized at our facility every morning. There is no warehouse step, no third-party fulfillment, no waiting for a national distributor.
How same-day firewood delivery works
- Order placed before 12:00 noon ET on a business day (Mon to Fri, excluding US federal holidays)
- Our crew picks the kiln-dried product, packs it for transit, and hands it off to UPS or our freight carrier before 4:00 PM ET
- You receive an email with a tracking number that evening
- Delivery arrives 1 to 5 business days depending on distance
Orders after noon ship the next business day. Weekend orders ship Monday.
Where same-day shipping applies
All 48 contiguous US states. Free flat-rate shipping is included in the product price for the 11 Northeast states: CT, DC, DE, MA, MD, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, VT. Outside that zone, a small flat fee (typically $4 to $16) is added at checkout based on distance.

Palletized deliveries (cord and half-cord) follow the same same-day cutoff but use scheduled freight, not UPS. Transit is typically 1 to 3 business days within the 100-mile Levittown service area.

Why same-day matters for firewood
Most online firewood retailers ship from a warehouse, which means an extra 2 to 4 business days of handling on top of carrier transit. If you order Monday, you can be waiting until Friday or Monday next week for fire-ready hardwood. We cut out the warehouse step entirely. Wood is kiln-dried, packed, and palletized at our facility every morning, then handed off to UPS the same afternoon if your order hits the queue before noon ET.
For first-snow weeks in the Northeast (typically early November), same-day shipping is the difference between a warm Wednesday night fire and waiting until the weekend. We see a 4x order volume spike on the first cold snap each year, and our facility-to-truck pipeline absorbs it without changing the same-day promise.
