Firewood Delivery in Monmouth County, NJ (Freehold to the Shore)

Monmouth County burns firewood for two completely different reasons, and most suppliers only serve one of them. Nor'easters, outages and why Monmouth orders early

A coastal county has a different winter risk profile than an inland one. Monmouth's worst nights are not usually the coldest ones, they are the nor'easter nights when wind off the Atlantic takes lines down and an outage runs long enough that the thermostat stops mattering. A fireplace or stove with a full rack is the only heat that does not care about the grid. The problem is that everyone reaches the same conclusion on the same afternoon, and freight cannot be conjured after a storm is named. Cord season in New Jersey peaks between early October and mid November, and slots start filling from mid October. Can the truck get down a shore-town street?
Usually yes, but the narrow blocks near the rivers are the ones worth thinking about in advance. The pallet comes off a lift gate and needs a stopping point the driver can reach. If the street is tight, Mega Bags by UPS avoid the question entirely.

How is this different from a local seasoned cord?
Moisture. Yard-seasoned wood commonly sits well above 20% and hisses, smokes and coats a flue. Ours leaves the kiln under 15%, so it lights fast and burns hot. Mixed premium hardwood, oak, hickory, ash, maple and birch, cut to 16 inch splits.
