Spotted lanternfly rules in Dauphin, Cumberland and Franklin

All three counties are in Pennsylvania's spotted lanternfly quarantine, which regulates moving firewood. Our hardwood is heat-treated to the USDA standard, 160 F at the core for 75 minutes, so it carries no live insects or egg masses. That matters if you take wood to a cabin, a campground near Pine Grove Furnace or a family member's house in another county.

Why buy kiln-dried in a region full of firewood sellers

Central Pennsylvania has no shortage of roadside cordwood, but most of it is split in spring and sold in fall, with moisture well above 20%. That wood hisses, smokes and builds creosote in the chimney. Kiln-dried oak, hickory, maple, cherry, birch and walnut under 15% moisture burns hotter from the first match, and the pallet arrives clean and stacked.

How delivery works

• Order to delivery: 3 to 7 days.

• The pallet comes off a liftgate truck at the curb or on your driveway.
• Minimum: one pallet.
