Which pallet fits a Lancaster home

• 1/4 cord pallet, $499 (regularly $555): 32 cu ft. For a city rowhome fireplace or weekend fires in a suburban living room.
• 1/2 cord pallet, $799 (regularly $940): 64 cu ft. Farmhouses and older stone homes in the townships often run a wood stove all winter, and this is the working size.
• 15 Mega Bag pallet, $599.90: 15 sealed Mega Bags plus a free Box. Good for a fire pit, an outdoor pizza oven or a home without a woodshed.
• 30 Mega Bag pallet, $899.90: 30 Mega Bags plus 2 free Boxes, a season's supply packaged.

Rowhomes downtown, farmhouses in the townships

Downtown Lancaster has blocks of brick rowhomes with original fireplaces and almost no outdoor storage, so bagged wood that stacks in a basement makes sense there. Out in Warwick, Manheim and East Hempfield townships, homes have the space for a full stacked cord and often a stove that burns daily. Either way, wood under 15% moisture lights fast and leaves less creosote in older chimneys.

Firewood rules in Lancaster County

Spotted lanternfly was first confirmed in the United States in neighboring Berks County in 2014, and Lancaster County is in Pennsylvania's quarantine zone, which regulates moving firewood. Our hardwood is heat-treated to the USDA standard, 160 F at the core for 75 minutes, so it is free of live pests.
