Pallets delivered free in Frederick County

• 1/2 cord pallet, $799 (regularly $940): 64 cu ft. Western Maryland winters run colder than the DC suburbs, and homes heating with a stove go through wood quickly.
• 1/4 cord pallet, $499 (regularly $555): 32 cu ft for fireplaces and weekend fires.
• 30 Mega Bag pallet, $899.90: 30 sealed Mega Bags plus 2 free Boxes for a full packaged season.
• 15 Mega Bag pallet, $599.90: 15 Mega Bags plus 1 free Box. Tidy storage for downtown Frederick rowhouses.

Downtown rowhouses to mountain homes

Downtown Frederick's historic rowhouses often have small fireplaces and no yard storage, so sealed bags that stack in a basement are the practical choice. Toward Catoctin Mountain, Middletown Valley and the Hagerstown area, more homes rely on wood stoves and have room for a loose cord on a rack. Kiln-dried splits under 15% moisture light quickly in both and burn with less smoke and creosote than green cordwood.

Moving firewood in Maryland

Maryland asks residents not to move untreated firewood because of invasive pests such as the emerald ash borer and the spotted lanternfly. Our hardwood is heat-treated to the USDA standard of 160 F at the core for 75 minutes, so it can travel to a cabin or campground without carrying pests.

How pallet delivery works

• 3 to 7 days from order to delivery.
• The carrier calls ahead, the day before or about an hour out.
• Liftgate drop at the curb or on the driveway; rural roads are fine where a box truck can reach.
• One pallet minimum.
