Firewood Flex
Firewood Delivery on Long Island, NY (Nassau + Suffolk)
Kiln-dried hardwood for Nassau and Suffolk County. Free UPS Ground island-wide, palletized cords on the Nassau freight route before the heating season starts.
Long Island burns more firewood per fireplace than almost any suburban market we ship to, and it is one of the hardest places to buy a clean cord locally. Nassau and Suffolk yards sell seasoned wood at 25 to 35% moisture that hisses and smokes in a Cold Spring Harbor colonial or a Garden City tudor. Our wood leaves the Levittown, PA kiln at under 15% moisture, heat treated to 160 degrees F at the core, and reaches every Long Island ZIP with free UPS Ground on packaged sizes.
Delivery options for Nassau and Suffolk County
- Mega Bag (1.75 cu ft): free UPS Ground, 1 to 2 business days to most of Nassau, 2 days to the East End
- Premium Box (1.33 cu ft): free UPS Ground, the right carry for condos in Long Beach, Rockville Centre walk-ups, and Montauk rentals
- Palletized 1/4 and 1/2 cord: scheduled freight to Nassau and western Suffolk driveways via the Cross Island corridor, 2 to 3 business days, lift gate included
- Bulk 15 Mega Bag pallet: includes 1 free 1.33 cu ft Box, the restaurant and rental-property reorder size
Eastern Suffolk past Riverhead is beyond our standard pallet radius. For the North Fork and the Hamptons, stack 4 to 6 Mega Bags on one free-shipping order and UPS brings them to the door.
Where the wood goes on Long Island
- North Shore fireplaces: Manhasset, Roslyn, Port Washington, Oyster Bay, and Huntington have the island's densest concentration of working chimneys. Low-creosote wood matters in pre-war flues that have never been relined.
- South Shore fire pits and outdoor living: Massapequa, Wantagh, Babylon, and Islip backyards run fire bowls from September through the holidays.
- Hamptons and North Fork second homes: weekend houses in Southampton, Sag Harbor, and Greenport stock packaged wood for fall and winter stays. USDA-certified wood is the only kind that can legally travel with you across county quarantine lines.
- Wood-fired restaurants: pizza ovens from Long Island City out to Patchogue reorder the 15 Mega Bag bulk pallet with the phytosanitary certificate that Suffolk health inspectors ask to see.
Winter on the island: order before the nor'easter, not after
Long Island heating season runs on a coastal rhythm: the first real demand spike lands with the first November nor'easter, and the second with the first multi-day power outage. A wood stove or fireplace with a stocked rack is the backup heat plan for thousands of PSEG customers. The freight calendar fills from mid-October, so cord buyers who order in September get first-week delivery slots; December orders wait behind everyone who ignored the forecast. Packaged UPS sizes stay at 1 to 2 days year round.
New York quarantine rules for Long Island
All of New York is under emerald ash borer quarantine and Long Island sits inside an active spotted lanternfly zone. Untreated firewood cannot legally move more than 50 miles from its source in NY, which rules out most upstate cordwood the local yards resell. Our USDA-certified kiln-dried firewood ships with a phytosanitary certificate on every order, which keeps it legal from our kiln to your driveway and onward to a campground or a second home.

FAQ
Do you deliver pallets to the Hamptons?
Not as a standard listing. East of Riverhead the freight math stops working, so Hamptons and North Fork buyers stack Mega Bags on a free UPS order instead. Nassau and western Suffolk driveways get standard pallet freight.
How fast can I get wood before a storm?
UPS packaged orders placed by noon ET typically land in 1 to 2 business days anywhere on the island. Do not wait for the forecast to order a pallet; freight slots fill first when a storm is named.
Is this legal to bring to a NY campground or state park?
Yes. USDA heat-treated wood with the phytosanitary certificate is the standard NY DEC accepts, and it is the only firewood that can legally cross the 50-mile line.
I'm in Garden City, is there a more specific page?
Yes, see the Garden City delivery page for the Nassau county-seat corridor: Manhasset, Roslyn, and the Plandomes ride the same truck.
